This piece was inspired by a symbolic story about a storm that overcomes a herd of bison and a herd of cattle. The cattle, sensing the oncoming storm, tried to run from it. Inevitably, the storm caught the herd, and as they continued to try to outrun it, they unknowingly prolonged their suffering in the heart of the blizzard. The bison, on the other hand, faced the storm head-on and charged through it, reaching safety on the other side. It’s a metaphor with many lessons to teach us about facing and overcoming adversity.
